4-H Volunteers

About 4-H

Florida 4-H aspires to be the leading youth development program that creates positive change in youth, families, and communities.

Through Leon County 4-H, volunteers get a chance to help mold future generations of America’s leaders. The purpose of Leon County 4-H is to develop leadership, character, and good citizenship in children. To do this, volunteers participate in youth development programs and activities teaching children about:

  • Healthy Lifestyle
  • Environment Education
  • Animal Science
  • Civic Engagement
  • Shooting Sports
  • STEM Skills (Science Technology Engineering and Math)

How to get started

In order to get started with Leon County 4-H, contact us to discuss what volunteer opportunities would be the best fit for you! Contact Alexandra Boswell at boswell@ufl.edu.

After deciding how you will get involved with us, follow this link to complete the application to become a 4-H volunteer.

 

Leon County 4-H volunteers are required to complete a background check when applying in order to ensure the safety of our children.
